I'm sorry that I haven't been able to make a Blog in a few weeks, with university work and going home last weekend I have been to busy to do any of this, I hope to get a review or two up soon I have like 4 films in my head that I wont to review, they will be coming soon!

Now for someone like me who doesn’t normally go out and buy Shoot Them Ups games, it’s not my style I haven’t enjoyed one sins Golden Eye on the N64, which I still believe to be the best Shoot them up off all times. But now it has a Contender. Being back at uni has given me the ability to borrow games from friends and I have managed to finally get my mitts on Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360. Now my friends will tell you I’m no good at shoot them up exspicaly multiplayer, but none the less I picked it up, and about a game play worth of 6 hours later I put it down again, not because I was bored but because I was finished. This game is short, very short, I don’t think I have played game this short sins Sonic 1 and even that had more game time to it. However this game was good, I enjoyed the missions even the ones that pissed me off about 1000 times over by not being clear on where you are supposed to go, but none the less the story and its length however short was good, they worked well together, and once finished because you feel like wonting more you play thought the arcade missions now and again just for the fun of it.

I think this game for me as a Shoot Them Up hater was acutely really good, I mean I won’t go out and buy it, that’s why I have friends, but I would play it if someone got it out at one of them party I go to, and by go to I mean host, but that’s not the point. Point is I like this game, and unlike most games of today it hasn’t turned around and said this is something new, this is so good you will blow your brains out, it admits quite simply I’m a shooting game, I’m fun and easy to use. So there we go a game I like that wasn’t an RPG how odd.

It’s an amazing thing how you can remember a film being very good then the next time you watch it, you realise just how shit it truly is. Last night we sat down for a Film Night which normally is a good thing, just of late we have been having a bit of Michael Bay fest starting with the Bad Boys 1 and 2 then Transformers and final The Island, all amazing films and one day I may review them but I hate to sound like a big Michael Bay Fan Boy. Anyway back on track, after a long discussion, I say discussion more like loud noises, we final decided to watch Casino Royal. Now normally I’m all up for a good bond film, and from what I remembered about this film I thought I would once again enjoy it. It wasn’t until after the first chance scene that I soon remembered that the only part of the hole film I found, we’ll filmed, we’ll acted, entertaining and not just plain dull. Now don’t get me wrong, if they just left you at the poker table watching the game that would be very very very dull however, I personally would have preferred it instead of finding reasons for bond to almost be killed in the hotel. Firstly the people who are the baddies badies try to kill him, then hi drink gets spiked and he almost dies it’s all very very messy. Then on top of that Bond can one moment be in one country like Madagascar then suddenly his driving in down town LA, what the hell is that about, is he superman or something. And if that isn’t bad enough you spend the last half an hour of the film watching your clock in hope that the film will end just so you can leave and do something more interesting then watching the messy messy film.

The thing that disappoints me the most is that I think Daniel Craig makes an amazing bond, he is perfect for him. However the with a film that is so dull after the first half an hour you do forget that, and you only remember feeling the need to slit your wrist like the emo you are instead of watching another half an hour of him head over hill in love. Oh and this dose teach you one thing, never trust a Women, exspcally i money is involved.

Doomsday

If there is one thing I can say I have never done and to this day don’t know why is to have watched the Mad Max films, now this even shocked my new housemate Andy and be as we are both film lovers he was shocked. So I went into watching this film with the description ‘It’s Resident Evil meets Mad Max’ not know what mad max is and with an intense love hate relationship to the Resident Evil Movie sires (not the mention to games).

So there we go I sat with my new housemates and them sum and began to watch the film. And I have to say it, I enjoyed this film. I think watching a film I had only seen a trailer for once, not bother if I saw it or not and believing anything trying to be Resident Evil would be shit this amazed me. I think it was the Mad Max elements to it (but having not yet watch the 3 Mad Max films I don’t know), but this film gave me what I wanted in an evening, blood, death, guns, fire, explosions, madness, no sorry that’s not clear enough, MADNESS, there we go, Hot Girls (girl) and an amazing car (Austin). Thinking back on it this film was amazing in the genres it covered, we went from horror virus, to mad crazy teenagers who eat people to people dressed as knights riding around on a hours to a fast car chase scene where a gimp got called on what is now know in the film buzz as GIMP CORNER...

And the film did one more thing that has amazed me in more ways then I thought possible, the found someone who looks like Kate Beckinsale from Underworld and acetyl pulled it off, her name is Emma Cleasby who until now had from what I can tell done nothing of any interested and probably will be stereotype as the action heroin who has only one very wooden stile of acting, but you forget that when you look at her so all is good in that respect.

Ill sum it up like this. Doomsday is good, very good, infected even better for not using Kate Beckinsale or anyone we had previously seen in this genre and pleased no one who was over used (Morgan Freeman, Michael Cane). The storyline is compelling and keeps you guessing thought and the mass amount of madness keeps you confused but at the same time a strange feeling of this is amazingly good just like the first time you saw the watchmen trailer, but unlike that trailer it probably will get old.

Lack of Reviews, So Have Some Cars

If you hadn’t noticed I’m about 2 days behind on this post, and it’s not because I’m bored of writing this blog, on no on the contrary, I much enjoy my time ranting and chatting about the good things in life, it’s that I don’t know what to review. So instead I have decided to talk about what cars I have enjoyed driving the most over the last 3 months at Ragdale Hall where I worked as a porter.

Okay so here are my top Eight (as I couldn’t think of ten that I liked to talk about)

So pitting for last place at number 8 in the cars I have enjoyed the most to park whilst a Car Parker is the:

Audi TT (06 Plate +)

The TT has always been a car that surprised me, and even when I first started working there 4 years ago I liked the car, but thought out the years Audi have made this car smooth and easy to control. The interior is nice and feels like there taken their time over it even if it is plastic. The Car has allot of power which it seems to handle with easy, but the things that draw me away from this car is the idea that is a Women’s car, more spicifcly with a large boot (surprising for a soft top) and on two seats make this the idea car for a Women who is married with no children mean she can do anything she likes in her ideal sports car, which let’s face it, I don’t want a Girls car do I.

Seventh is the:

VW Golf Mk5 (06 Plate +)

The golf is and let’s face it completely a boy racer car, with its large boot perfect for a sound system, its changeable stiles, and the ease in which you can mess with the engine adding turbo and all that sort of stuff making this an ideal car for a boy racer, which I am not. However I do like this car, it’s simple and dose exactly what I won’t, and for a 1.4 litre it is quick off its feet and dose surprise you with just how comfortable you feel sitting in it, it like every time I got in one the car was almost inviting me to enjoy it which if I owned one is what I would wont from it.

Six the Ford Focus (08)

I have never liked ford, for wheels and a board is how I describe them so it came to a shock to me when I picked up a 08 plate ford Focus today and enjoyed driving it. It was simple and elegant, dint feel like it wanted to make you go fast, but if you wanted to you could, and being a 1.4 it wasn’t going to waste what it had. On top of that again it has what a boy racer needs but on top of that it has everything a teenage girl needs, a mother with two children, a grandma, well you get my point, it is a simply designed car that almost anyone would enjoy and find surprisingly pleasing to drive.

And in fifth position is the Porsche Boxster S

Another one of the many cars that surprised me, I am a big Porsche fan and very much like the look at least of the 911 sires but I as of far have been so unlucky to never have parked even the simplest of the 911 sires so I’m stuck with the Boxster, the car I consider to me owned by a man who is living a midlife crisis and that’s exactly who brings them to the hall. Each one I have parked was owned by a middle age man who seemed to only have it because he couldn’t afford a 911. The thing that makes me laugh most about the Boxster is fact that in the rear mirror the only thing you can see is the word Porsche that is written on the back window, I believe this has been put there to remind you that indeed you are driving a Porsche, you have to cheek every now and then that this is true, and with the interior being so socked so they could fit in 2 back seats (I call them seats) you feel as if you are driving in the world smallest place, but this is all forgotten when you put the pedal down, look into the mirror and remember ‘I’m driving a Porsche’.

Okay at the Half Way point we have the BMW 7 (450)

This car is one that keeps me going, yes, yes I will park that. BMW for me have always been on the border line of coolness and dullness and not so suppressing sometimes they can be dull, even the most of the 7 sires is dull, but anything from the 4 litre plus seems to be just amazing, the interior is nice and shiny with leather and you can tell that they have put time into its creation, it dose lack when it comes to performance and is quick of the start and continues to impress thought-out the drive. It is easy to drive and everything in the car is exactly where you want it to be, making it a nice simple expensive car.

And third:

The nest car is also a surprising one for me it’s the Porsche Cayenne. Now when this came out I hated the idea, Porsche I thought, making a 4x4 no never gona work, its gona suck, not going to be fast, and not going to be useful. However time again has changed my view and I now rely like this car, it’s simple and I believe its everything the Land Rover wants to be but cant because that’s trying to be a Range Rover. Most people who brought this car to the hall seemed to be Mothers of at least 2 children and claimed it is ideal for them, with loads of space in the boot for everything they need from the shops and even more room in the back for the children not to be cramped or complain (like a normal Porsche) you rely do see the usefulness of this car, and it isn’t lacking, it speeds seems to match the Boxster and off the start it is raring to go and unlike the Boxster you don’t need reminding you’re in a Porsche because you know you are, because your higher up then everyone.

And now my number two in my top eight cars of the last 3 months is...

Austin Martin Vanquish

Now I know what ya think, YOUR DRIVEN AN ASTUIN YOU BASTED now doesn’t get me wrong I like the Vanquish, hence being number 2 but in reality its not as good as I expected an Austin to be. Firstly the interior, which is plastic, the handbrake, that’s plastic, the dash, oh that’s plastic, and even the seats which you would hope to be leather aren’t, no this car isn’t exactly what you think of when you hear the word Austin. Then there is the drive, now I thought it was just how I drive, so I changed my style when I picked it up after I had parked it and no, rely its not, the car is very, very lumpy, and this is because you sitting on the gear box, meaning when you changed from 1^st to second, or third it jumps about because of the pressure that has been placed upon it, and the other thing that bugged me was the space in the car, now I never expect to be able to get out of cars with ease, exspicaly as I am 6 foot 2 but this is just ridicules, it’s a struggle to get in and the on the way out I was particle crawling onto the road, not a pretty site. However this car dose have some pluses, when you look past it all you think, yes this is a nice car and for what you get this car has some sires speed and existent behind it, it was fun to drive and the owner dint even mind that I was thrashing it about to see what it could do meaning I got to feel the full joy of this car before I finished parking it, meaning when I say I enjoyed it I rely mean I enjoyed it, but not as much as some other cars. Plus with the massive increases of Austin’s we seemed to of got in the hall (including 2 Vanquish, 1 DBS and 1DB9 (so pretty)) you rely do believe them when they say the new Audi driver is now the new Austin driver.

So this bring me to my number 1, my favarout car, the one I enjoyed the most of the last 3 months, and you’re going to be surprised by this.

It’s the Audi A8. Now when I left the hall to go to uni this hadn’t been made so the first day back I got to drive it and boy did I like it. The interior is exactly what you expect from a car, exspicaly one of this price and with the badge it hold and the speed and handling where to me more impressive than anything I played with over the last few months. With that said I don't rely know where to criticise this car in any way. It seemed to do everything you wanted to do without trying and you never feel as if this car is trying to impress the people around you, you just sit back and enjoy an amazing ride, and that most of all is why I like the Audi A8 over everything I have driven this time round.

A BRITISH FILM OMG

Imagine one of the world most iconic movie characters has a baby, well that’s what this film is about... hang on what... no its not... then why is it called the Son of Rambow?

Okay then so Son of Rambow is about a young boy whose religion prevents him from watching TV or Films etc... Now growing up in the 80’s that must of been hard and this film shows how that kids (Will Proudfoot) imagination and his friend Lee Carter who wants to create a film for a contest on a TV show come together to create a film where Will plays the character Son of Rambow, so that’s what the film is about. This film I will admit is a very good little British film, it’s not very often I watch films of this type, but I did enjoy it, it was funny in places and the kids acting is very funny. However this film is very simple, two kids who weren’t friends, become friends in a strange way, then they become best friends, they fall out, then right at the end the big moral of the story is reviled and their friends again, now don’t get me wrong this story type works, but it is as comment was walking into a bar and finding underage girls drunk out of there face. However with the different mix of characters, the religious aspect, and what just seems to have been a fun film to make bye the kids you can see why this film has been a small British success and it is a nice film to watch, I’m not gona bye it, but I am more then likely going to watch it again!

The Kirby Brick!

In the odd world that is Nintendo remakes seem to be the thing of the year, and any game that seems to involved Mario or Mario and Sonic also seems to be as common as fining dog poo in the middle of a lush green filed. This has brought me on to review the game Super Smash Bros! Brawl. Now don’t get me wrong, I do like the super smash bros sires, and the first time around it was an amazing idea, then it was again fantastically revised for the GameCube which we all did enjoy. However the new one I’m still not sure on. One thing that bugs me about it, (and this happens a lot in Nintendo games), you buy the game, you friends adore, no love you, they think you are the king, you have the most anticipated multi player game on the Wii and they wont to hump your leg just to play. So you lode it up, watch the amazing intro, look forward to all the new characters to find out there’s barely anything unlocked and non of the characters you wanted to try (Snake and Sonic) are unlocked. You then spend the next few weeks of your life unlocking everything you can until you become a uber gamer, you know the ones, the ones we all hate but secretly wont to be (I’m looking at you Guitar Hero Players who have 100% thought the fire on extreme), so your friends no long wont to hump your leg because you keep kicking them away with a quick super smash. Now don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the game by playing with Other uber players, but then that bring around the hole, I’m better then you at this game argument that all uber players seem to enjoy so much.

However Super Smash dose bring some enjoyment back into my life, yes I miss some of the characters they got rid of, aka Mewtwo and even thought Lucario is a Remake of the amazing Mewtwo he doesn’t seem to master the ability as well as the old version, and this version is now maybe a little too crazy at times, with the amount of super smashes you can obtain for a quick KO you could be almost about to win then you opponent Noobaly owns you with a stupid overpowered move, and with the ridicules amount of items and pokeballs you can never tell whose done what and what’s going to happen next. Yes okay that makes this game interesting but it also takes the skill out of it, and when people can win a beat them up by simply smashing the controller with their forehead whilst you try to do combos isn’t a very well designed game.

But after all this has been said I do enjoy this game, I don’t know what it is, maybe Kirby’s little voice when I send him packing with a 3 powered Pokemon Beams, or the way I can fly above people with Kirby and land on them as a brick sending them flying a mile off the stage (this pisses Kenny off). Whatever it is, this game is fun, but defiantly the most fun comes from playing with your friend, exspicaly the non uber players. Now I’m off to go kick ass with the amazing Kirby Brick!

Will the Pokemon please stop breeding!

I’m splitting this blog into two parts, both of which will be small but none the less two parts as I am talking about two games. So here we go.

Pokemon Battle Revolution

This is a game for the Nintendo Wii and is basically the same thing we got on the N64 with Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 with the Pokemon Colosseum battle stiles and tournaments we got from Pokemon Colosseum games on the GameCube. The good thing about this is we lost the rubbish story modes the Colosseum gave us, short, bad story games which the only reason you played them was to get the Legendary dogs Lugia and Ho-oh. The bad thing is where still waiting for a Good 3D version of the Game Boy/DS Games. But it does allow you to do something which makes me very happy indeed, first you can import your DS monsters into the game and use them in the battle, makes it a hell of a lot faster and easier to complete. Secondly with Wi-Fi you can search for random people and battle them using your stoked Pokemon from iv the DS or the Game itself. Also you can get 3 Pokemon for your DS including a surfing Pikachu, as well as Items which maybe necessary for you to complete your Dex. But that’s it, there is nothing amazing in this game, and to be onist it’s what we have come to expect from this type of Pokemon game. I would like a full 3D Pokemon adventure but that’s never gona happen in the world where all Nintendo can do is recreate old games again and again with only a few things new (just look at their most resent examples of this Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario Kart Wii). I keep hoping Nintendo will grow a back bone and stop playing safe, but I suppose as they almost die because of the Cube what eals can they do.

My Pokemon Ranch

This isn’t rely a Game, it’s just Pokemon box but with a cuter way of doing it. Basically you can store up to 1000 of your Pokemon in the Ranch from your DS game/s. If you manage to fill the Ranch you get the legendary MEW Pokemon for your game, and if I’m gona be onist the only reason have this game is for Mew. It’s fun to watch your Pokemon interact with your other Pokemon, and it does give you tasks to fill your PokeDex and shows you Pokemon you haven’t seen making it possible to see Legendary’s you have seen and go look for the on the GTS on the DS, but that’s about it, nothing amazing, only worth it if ya a huge Pokemon fun but otherwise don’t waste ya time.

Next week no more Pokemon, a film will be reviewed next not sure what it is yet, maybe something that isn’t quite new but iv only just seen and AudioSurf review is also on the way.

Game Review - Nintendo's Jebus

Pokemon has been my friend for going on 10 years now and even before the game was released in the UK I was watching the TV anime sires as Sky got it early on in its life. Now Pokemon itself has been going for 12 years now with first being realised in Japan in 1996, with the games Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green. Then in 1999 the UK got this amazing game, you would not believe how existed I was on my 12^th birthday when my Dad got me a Game Boy Pocket with Pokemon Blue and Red, and my speed of rushing out and getting every follow up game sins, and the same could be said for Pokemon Diamond and Pear, when the game came out it had been 8 years sins the first games arrived on our door step and I was still as existed as ever about this game. Firstly I was hopeful that this game would meet my expectations sins the first follow up games Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal, to this date that is one of the best Pokemon games in my opinion, mainly due to working on everything that was wrong in the first games and changing it so everything would be better and smoother, and of course being a Nintendo game not much has changed sins.

So Pokemon Diamond and Peal, where to begin, the storyline is the same as the last 3 generation of Pokemon games, you’re a young boy (or girl) who leaves there little town on a quest to become the greatest Pokemon trainer of all time, again you have 3 Pokemon to chose when you start, and again these are a Grass Type, a Water Type and a Fire Type. Then from that point you must travel the Pokemon world (or in this case a section of the world know as Shinno) and collect and trainer as many different Pokemon as you can as well as defeating trainers gym leaders and eventually the elite four to become the Greatest Pokemon Trainer of all time. Now this has got a bit old but if I’m gona be onist if it anit broken why fix it, and with that in mind this game is good, in fact this game beat my expectation by miles., and I’m glad it did. The first thing that pleased me was how easy it was to get good Pokemon early on in the game, if trained right your starter will always be amazing for you, then with a flying type that learns a fighting move very early on, electric types with great speed, and water Pokemon that you can get without the aid of a rod our surf gave you a chance to level up reliable creatures from the start. Another thing I love about the game is that my old Pokemon from the GBA games Ruby, Emerald, and Fire Red that I had weren’t lost and I could transfer them from my GBA games onto the DS. The fact that trading over the internet is now available is also amazing thanks to the DS, and being able to battle with friends when there not even in the same country as you is a nice addition with the Wi-Fi.

There are things that now bugs me with Pokemon, firstly is the shire number of them, 492 in total, meaning catching them all is a stupid idea. The Friend Code, this isn’t just a Pokemon thing it’s a Nintendo thing which I hate, the fact you can’t just battle random people with the DS is annoying, so to do it you have to go out and bye Pokemon Battle Revelations for the Wii which is anther expense. However all in all this game is amazing, it has given me endless fun and with the addition of actly having some friends who also play the games I do get some great battles and multiplayer fun which I think is the best way to play these games. With Pokemon Platinum on the horizon (2009/2010) and with some add on addition to it, (including a battle factor and, better gyms and more new Pokemon (yer thanks for that)) in where in line for another Great game.

However I have heard some interesting talk about the sires, and this is SCRAPING IT AND STARTING AGAIN. Now I know that sounds very very drastic, but I for one am supporting it. I think it will be nice to leave everything behind and instead of bring out games that are almost exactly the same as the ones before and getting something new for once who be fantastic.

Right so that’s my review, I loved the game, best Pokemon game they have ever made and with hope of Platinum keeping the sires going well, but with still this acting sensation in the back of my mind that Nintendo can’t think of anything new so we keep getting the same game. Next review (on Saturday) Pokemon Battle Revolution and My Pokemon Ranch, both add-on to this game. Thanks for reading.

A Small Memo

Hello all I am sorry that I haven’t posted a Blog in a little over a week now, I have been busy enjoying my summer with my Girlfriend and working (which isn’t fun). Right so I thought I would let you all know the plan for this blog. I will try my best to post a blog, once a week, more than likely on a Wednesday, with maybe a small post on a Saturday, depending on what I have to mention about the week and what I have to review.

Right so to let you know now what will be coming up over the next few weeks.

In the films department I have Jumper to review, Batman Gotham Knight, Sky Blue and Appleseed, and hopefully some more in the next few weeks.

In the Games I have Pokemon Diamond and Peal with the add-on My Pokemon Ranch. Also have Super Smash Bros. Brawl and depending on if I spend $9.99 on the game Audio Surf which after playing the demo today is a big possibility.

Oh and the picture, well I liked it.

Godzilla Witch!

Oh no i got it wrong, its actly Cloverfield. Okay so yes, I know its been out for a while, but i'm one of the few people who seemed wasn't that hyped about this film. Yes okay the film had been marketed was intresting, and i was corus only once after everyone who talked to me about kepted telling me 'You have to watch that film, its amazing'. So I did the same thing I do everytime, I watched it.

So last night me and Catherine (my girlfriend) sat down to watch this film. Now i have to admit she dint know what it was about, and all i knew was Godzilla meets the Blair Witch Project, so that what I told her. And boy I wasn't wrong was I. Directed by Matt Reeves who I havent seen any work of befor so i had no clue what his stile is like, and i think i can safly say at the end of that i still dont. Let me tell you now so you dont get your hopes up, It was okay. Thats it, it wasnt brillient, it wasnt fantastic, god i would find it hard to tell you a single pice of the film I relie liked, this is manly due to that fact of how it was filmed. Now i liked the idea of a giant creater attacking Manhattan, anything involing the destruction of Amaericas favourt city is a bones from the start. But i dint like the idea of a person carring the camera thought out the film, with the running around, the boncing, the normal home video stile camera work. We got it in the Blair Witch Prtoject and i hated it then, and i stile hate it. It was a good idea, and they did it well. But for me a filme should make you feel like you part of it, and this film constley rimends you, that you are watching a film by the way it had been filmed.

Another thing about the film that bored me was the Story itself, it was too simple, there are 6 main character, 2 are brothrs and another one is the main guys best friend, you then have the main guys exgirlfriend, who you see at the start then you dont see again till the last 30/20 minutes of the film, there is Lilly, the borthers girlfriend, so you pritty much knew from the start that one of them would die, more likly the borther, an d lastly you had the guy holding the camera (Hud) and the girl he liked. Thats it. So they made some silly story about Rob (the main guy) travilling accross Manhattan to save his ex who he now reliese he relie loves, whilst the city is being attacked by a monster. Yer Greate idea, do another filmed about some been attacking the earth and we only follow one situation, thanks, like War of the Wrolds (2005) wasnt bad eought.

But non the less i did like the monster, i did like the little monsters, i will admit at some times i went 'Thats Kool' but thats more due to the fact the monster was kool. But they went eought to save it for me, and when the film just ended and we knew nothing about the monster, Where did it come from? Why did it attack us? Did we stop it? Or is amaerica dead? They are the questions I have that will never be answered. And at the end me and Catherine where left thinking, well that was crap. We even said that we were filnaly getting into the film, we where very much intrested in finding out what happend next and what happens to Manhattan, then it end. We where left feeling cheated and we went off and watched something elas.

That was the responce by the fans to the annocment of Heath Ledger death, and I have to say, SHAME ON YOU FANS, SHAME ON ME.

Now to the review of Heath Ledgers last ever film.

All day at work I have been wondering to my self about how I was gona speek about this film with out sounding like a complet and utter 'FanBoy' but lets be onist here, I am a complet and utter 'FanBoy', exspicaly when it comes to comics and exspicaly when it comes to Batman as he is in my top ten favarout Super Heros. Ever sins the first Batman movie directed by Tim Burton back in 1989 I have waited for a batman film to be as Good as that film, and i got it in 2005 with the relise of Batman Begins, Directed by Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale as Batman. However after this film was made it was annoced there would be another a Batman Begins 2 only not called that, insted it would be called The Dark Knight. Now i was exstreem hyped from that point, and i wasnt the only one, Hundrades of fans have waited for this film, and finaly, as of last week, we got it.

AND BOY WAS I SUPPRISED. It actly lived up to the hype, no infact, it supased the hype. It has been along time sins i left a movie thearter thinking my god that was a good super hero film, this was untill Iron Man earlyer this summer (which i may review when the DVD comes out). And to end the summer by coming out of The Dark Kngiht and thinking exsactly the same thing. The cast from the off was brillient, Bale again was magnificant as the Batman, Aaron Eckhart was the best Harvey Dent ever, Michael Caine as Alfrid, Gary Oldman playing Gorden and ofcourse Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox where all as you exspect brillent choices and actors for there roles. But the best, and here is me hopeing that he will win an oscor for his acting, Heath Ledger as the Joker.

The Joker has always been my Favourt villan, and when it was annocent that Heath Ledger was to play him, i was worried, i knew that everyone would compare him to Jack Nicholson who played the Joker in the 1989 film, and im glad they did as he Supasted him on so many levels. I haver never seen the Joker been played so well exspect in the Comics or the Cartoon sires, (and thats usaly thanks to the amazing voice acting of Mark Hamill).

Right, now the story, and what a story, I personly think that this film was very much what we hoped for from the beggining, thoguht out the whole film i was left thinking, where are they going to go with this next, what can they possably do to make the Joker anymore Crazy? And time after time I was amazed. This film failed to bore me thoguht out and i was never left thinking come on hurrie up, no every scene was in there for a reasion, and when finaly the Cimax came i felt that it had given me the complet sensation you exspected right sins the end of Batman Begins.

But i will me onist, if you dont like Super Heros, if you dont like Crazy badguys, if you dont like action from the word go, do not see this film. But what mad person would not be a Fan of these things.

Right now im finnished being a fan Boy I will end with this, The Dark Knight and Ironman this year have shown us what Superhero Comic Based Films can be, please Marvel DC i beg of you, keep this up. With Antman, Thor and Captain America on the way, and with another Ironman also on the hurrisen for Marvel and The Watcher, Superman another Batman and Justice Leage on the way for DC i can only hope that the standared of Super Hero filmes keeps blooming and I keep being able to do post such as this one.

Now im goign to go and watch the WATCHMAN trailer anorther time (my pants may get wet.....)

I was wondering the grate wrold of the internet the other evening and decided in my boredem to type my name in to see what comes up, and what do i find. Michael Groom the famuos Australian climer. Wow, i thught, a climer, thats kool.

Michael was born in 1959 and is a Profencial Speeker and Mountain Climer. The thing i liked the most was the fact that the year my mum was pussing me into the wrold, he lost a third of his feet to frost bite whilst climing mount Kangchenjunga, which almost ended the poor boys climing life stile. I LOVE IT. The man is talanted I give him that, and basiclt i thought it was cool that there is another Michael Groom in the wrold who has pushed himself to be his best, just like i hope to do.

Anyway thats the first Ramdom Post done!

So here is my review of Wanted. The new film Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, who looking at on IMDB i had never heard of let alone seen anything he had directed. It stars James McAvoy as Wesley Allan Gibson, Morgan Freeman as Sloan and everyone favarout (expect mine) big lipped girl Angelina Jolie as Fox. It is a good film and the Proformaces by McAvoy is amazing thoguh out, there are some amazing spical effect, the fast passed running at the start (which lets face it just reminded me of the flash) the curving the bullets and the amazing car sceens where fantastic, but iim going to be onist. Thats all this filmed seemed to be to me, A Spical Effect Fest, and thats it, the story was simple and had alot of hints from other films of this nature, I couldnt get my head around the fact they got there orders by reading some cloth, and once you got the the cimatic fight at the end, you seemed alittle bit dissapionted, it was like being taken out by a friend, promasing you that your 5 year dry spell will be clined up tonight and then he gets layed and you dont.

The thing that let me down was that this was ment to be one of the best filmes Sins ther Matrix (and i think i have heard that every year sinse the Matrix was made) and yet it just wasnt. Jolie proformances was wooden and when you began to think that maybe just maybe she would fool for McAvoy she dosent and again you are left feeling cheated by here wooden proformance. I dont get what people like about her, shes not even hot. But ill stay away from that as fear of my life and that is a completly diffrent story.

The other face about the film is again i felt let down by the amazing Morgan Freeman, now this man is a Amazing actor, someone I have looked up to in the film wrold for along time. He know how to play a good good guy and he knows how to play a amazing bad guy, iv seen him do them all but in this, its like he forgot how to act. Now if actors like this have left me feeling cheated and used in some sorta disctusting manner.

But that bring me back to James McAvoy. He was stunning, he actly looked like he new what this filmed wanted him to do and he did it. And as i said at the start the visuals where stunning, the tricks and stuents with the cars, the curving bullets and the raceing accross the top of the train weas amazing, all this i felt would lead to an amazing climax but relie it din't and as i sit here remembering how cheated i felt at the end of the film and i can say 'Yes, yes i will watch it again, because there where some amazing stunts.'

'gta4 is the sex'

That is a statement put to me from the lovely Ly After mentioning in my first post that I would be putting my review of this game forwards, and I have to say as quotes go this one was on the money. I have never played a game before where there was so many ways to get sex, Internet, dating random and storyline girlfriends and of course our normal favours Hookers. However i hope this isnt the reistion we all play this game.

When I first started the Game I was intregged by the relastionship of Niko (being the main charater) and his cousen and what Niko had done in the other countey. But after doing a few missions and watching almost every person you work for get killed, mostly bye you I suddonly got worried that one of the people I worked for would turn on me, like i did there bosses or my other bosses, and with the mobile phone ringing every ten minuets with one of you "Firends" wonting to go hangf out i found myself spending more time playing pool then killing people just so i dont get killed.

Once you get passed all the running around after your friends you finaly get to do some shooting, which thanks to the targeting system is quite easy, and with the new duck and dive hiding skills you have its easyer then the older games not to get killed. The one thing i am annyed at RockStar for not improving is the F***ing Driving, I brake and you end up doing a 180 and faceing the police your trying to run from, and thats not if you havent allready got away from them as the area is so small you cant bild up a decent wont level like you could in the old games to get a good old Cop Car Chase, and lets not forget that however easy it seems to knock down lamp posts you still go flying throw your window when you hit a tree, althought i do have an amazing amount of fun doing that.

On a hold I wouldn't go as far as aggreeing with Ly when she said gta4 is the sex, but it is a good game, one of the few games iv been able to play and not get bored of killing people, driving around and having sex. The bad handing of the cars dose bug me and exspicaly pisses me off when i hit a bit of paper in the road whilst on a moterbick and i end up flying passed 3 traffic lights befor I land on my head.

So basicly if you like killing people, stealing cars, and going on stupid dates to get sex, this is the game for you, so any boy in the wrold should have fun. And it is a good game, its addictive and simple and lets look at the best games of the pasted, Pac Man and Tetras ar stupid and addictive and thats why we love them.

So im not saying that GTA 4 is a bad game, but also im not saying its a Greate Game, it is what it should be, a Game.

Hancock

The new film staring Will Smith and directed by Peter Berg who i first heard of, in the TV series called 'Alias' where he played the character SD-6 Agent Noah Hicks in my favorite episode Snowman, and I have to say that this is one of the best things I have seen him do. It is not my favorite Will Smith film, (they are I,Robot and Independence Day), but it is defontly one of the best Super Hero films. Not the best (I think Ironman holds that and I have high hopes for The Dark Knight which i am seeing today) but defontly one of the best. I enjoyed the idea that he was a Hero who was only doing it becuse he was the only one who could do it, and once you find out more about the character you relise that all he wonted was to be respected.

There was a Super Power fight, but I love them, always have done, i mean nothing better then a good bad guy vs good guy both with super powers, it was defontly missing in Superman Returnes (but i dont talk about that film, only good thing about that film was Kevin Spacey as Lex Luter), but the little one that there was, was very funny and directed and filmed exstreemly well.

I dont think I could rate this film any higher then I am. I was exstreemly impressed with the CGI and you felt right from the start that this was going to be both a very funny film (which is nice to see Will Smith doing a comedy again) and a sires film about love and duty.

I recomend this to anyone who loves Superheros and anyone who like Will Smith, or if yuou just like a laught.

That is what this is, amazingly.

Right the whole point of this blog is manly something for fun for me, and also to get my point across about gamers and films which i have been watching or playing, as people have told me i have very strong views about things (exspicaly films) and i do try to look as objectively as i can but lets face it if i think something is crap, you will be the first to know!

This is the first Blog i have ever created and hope that it kicks off a little even if it is only between friend and stalkers alike.

I will post something Propper in the next few days (Hopefuly Hancock tommrow) so yall soon get my views on that film (May also do Wanted and GTA4) enjoy!

Oh and if ya wondering why i chose the Green Skin..... I Like Green :)
